Daily Summary: 25 May, 2020

Well, I decided to cut the face masks out of the corners of my infographic. It’s Day 75 of isolation, but things are opening up and I don’t want to perpetuate a “locked in” mentality anymore.

So anyway, food today was a lot of dumplings. Two kinds, twice. I need to be a bit more careful when I do my meal planning. The issue was the confluence of chicken vindaloo and the beef with salsa on the same day, both being very low-carb meals: Combined, 50.1 gms of carbs, while my goal is 152.2 gms. So, back-and-forth tweaking the plan over the last few weeks, as I moved things around, it looks like I thought at one point, “Dumplings are my go-to of some carbs, fairly low fat, and a bit of protein,” so I put it in the plan for today. Then I likely shifted something in or out and looked at the macros and thought, “Hmm, I have ~30 more carbs to play with, let’s put in some dumplings, those are good!” So, yeah.

I also made sure to stay hydrated.

The exercise was also good today, at least I did something even if it wasn’t not-cardio. I do consider the rower a bit mixed of core and cardio, just ’cause it hits your legs, back, and arms (and the way I do it, shoulders, too), but counting it as such is cheating.

I can’t fault myself for actually doing exercise (even if it was starting at 11:45pm), but it would’ve been nice if I got that core stuff or weights in.
