Daily Summary: 28 June, 2020

So, let’s start with the preamble that I got home at 2:45am from a 17-hour drive from Michigan to Colorado, unpacked for an hour or so, and then went to bed. Still being on Eastern time, I woke up after about 6–7 hours of sleep, continued to unpack and put stuff away and eat for a few hours, and then I went back to bed.

I was very surprisingly not tempted to snack much today, which helped me keep under my goal in calories. I’ll also be going grocery shopping tomorrow so that I can get back into the swing of things. I still have a bunch of work I have to get done in the next 3 days, but if I don’t go shopping until Thursday, we don’t really have the stuff to fit into my meal plan, and I had also planned on having salmon Thursday and Friday which is hard to move around because of the high fat content and balancing that against other food.

Exercise needs a preamble: Last night while getting gas somewhere in Nebraska, I took a brief walk through some vegetation near the gas station. I did not realize that the bugs swarming around me were mosquitos. When I finally did, I already had several that were drinking from my legs. Fortunately, after running back to the car and swatting, I only had two dozen bites that went away after an hour or two. But, they came back today, and I’m unable to walk without them itching.

Which means that, coupled with being super-tired from the drive, I did not exercise today. Auspicious start to trying to lose 3 lbs this week!
