Short post. I spent last night and most of today looking into hydroponics. Ido a fair bit of indoor gardening, but this summer it’s been a bust because … I don’t know why. If my pH meters are working, the soil is too alkaline, but also I think a lot of my seeds are just dead. I also have moisture issues, I’ve had germination issues … so, I thought that maybe hydroponics could be simpler, even though it seems more complicated. But once you set it up, it seems like it just does its thing. So, I bought stuff for a DIY setup for a basic 8-pot herb garden, and I chose a new supplier and bought some new seeds (Everleaf Emerald Tower basil, purple basil, Oregano, Dill, Chives, Parsley, and Thyme; my Thai basil seeds seem to still be viable). If this actually works, then I’ll do a larger one and maybe finally get some peppers to grow.
Anyway, since I did that, I did very little work. Until 11pm when I realized I had paper revisions due Monday, so I scrambled and did those, and now I’m going to bed. No exercise, I am taking a day off. Since I expect to not be taking anymore days off for the next seven because I started an Apple Watch competition with my friend which starts Monday. After I explained to him about 10 competitions ago how it really works, we are incredibly well-matched and are usually within a few points of each other throughout the week, so I won’t be able to slack. And this time I was the one who dropped my move ring from 720 to 700 calories (starting tomorrow).
Oh, and food today was good, if seemingly fatty on its face.
