Another tweak to my infographic template: Rather than state in words, “Goal: Cut,” I instead have a goal emoji with a down arrow. We’ll see how it works. I mean, I guess I know what it means, so that’s the main thing, right?
On Saturday, I was generally sore. My back was the most sore, but I’m not sure if it was because I spent over eight hours working on the hydroponics (on my feet) the day before, or the weights for the past week. So, I did not end up working out. So much for the every-other-day thing. Food-wise, though, I did plan ahead and lowered the amount of rice in the Indonesian fried rice dish, so I could fit within my carb macros for the day. I was also shockingly low on fat, so I used actual whole eggs in the dish instead of just four whites and one yolk! That said, ripping out the hydroponics, I had a lot of Queensland blue squash blossoms that would be thrown outside, so I instead used those to make dolma; another thing to add to the list of New Dishes in 2021.
Meanwhile, I spent about 5 hours planning out food for the next 4.5 weeks, taking me into mid-March. I was fairly low on fat and carbs a few days, so I have factored in making some breads and even a chocolate mousse throughout that period, all surprisingly fitting in the macros and calories for the day and week.

Yet another new dish in 2021 is phat kaphrao, AKA Thai basil beef. That was another of those “flavorful foods in under 30 minutes” dishes from my search a few weeks ago. Ended up being fairly good, though I thought it had too much lime juice. It also probably would have been much better had I had any fresh basil, instead of very old dried basil. Next time!
And, I worked out today. So, yay!
