Writing this a day late, I’ll just note that most things went according to plan: A full day out running errands and going to the dentist (no issues!), going to the store, walking before the dentist while the bf swam, etc. Didn’t exercise nearly as much as I would hope, but I did get all the rings filled legit-like. There’s an asterisk next to calories today because we got a few things at the grocery store to try out of pure interest, like the bf wanted to try twinkies again after a decade or two, and I wanted to try pita chips, or we got blackberries again at Costco. Problem is, there were several little nibbles here-and-there and while I tried to account for them, I am certain that some things did not get counted, so I lose points on that.
It is also very clear that I do not go through nearly as many calories walking on ≈flat ground as I do in the hills: cals per minute were around 6.4, whereas I normally average closer to 8–9. Though a small part of it was that even though it was cool out, I tried not to walk so fast that I’d sweat, since I had to go to the dentist right after the walk and didn’t have a change of clothes or anything like that.
I think I’ve also decided that I’m taking vacation this week, or sick leave under the category of “mental health break” (not an official category on our timecards).
