Another day where I actually stuck to the plan, at least mostly, at least within the confines of other things that happened.
I actually got up around 6am and we got the car packed up for the day, including my bike, and drove down to Boulder. The boyfriend swam while I biked. I’m a bit annoyed that in 41.35 minutes I only burned through 241 calories, for a recent record-low of 5.7 cal/min. I suspect the issue was that I biked towards the mountains first, so uphill, and I then basically coasted back downhill for ≈15 minutes. As opposed to here, when I drive down to the mailboxes and bike, it’s uphill both ways (there’s not enough downhill, and the hills are so frequent, that you really don’t have much room to coast; plus the hills are steeper).
Anyway, I still did it and got the exercise in. So, despite my desire that it would have been more calories burned, I did it and that’s what’s important.
And, I stepped outside 10 minutes before sunset and it wasn’t insanely hot (or my threshold has moved), so I got in another 16 minutes for a walk. And then an hour later went to the basement to lift weights to get that in. Three forms of exercise today, and 620 calories burned from it. Yay!
Otherwise, due to a moved meeting, we went grocery shopping earlier than expected so didn’t eat left-overs at the office, got back to the house, I had meetings, we both napped 2.5 hrs, I got up and made dinner, and so now there are a gagillion left-overs in the ‘fridge so I won’t be cooking again until Sunday. Plus with all the fruit and meat we got, there’s no more room in the ‘fridge. And I gave in and got another 3-pack of my XL underwear ’cause I’m sick of running out or needing to do laundry now every 6 days as some stuff’s worn out.
Anyway, I stuck within my planned food today, which did have me go over on carbs because of the morning’s doughnuts (planned!). I’m still way down on the week so I’m not concerned. Because I was already over on carbs and have plenty for the week in reserve, I did avail myself of some of the fruit we picked up today.
