Weight.Not.Down

Me.Not.Happy

That aside, with this conference I’m running in 1.5 weeks that will include a hosted dinner, I have been looking or some stuff to make that is not hard to make but will impress. So, for the first time in eight years, I broke out the chocolate molds and spent 4 hours making some caramel-filled dark chocolates. They look nice, taste okay (I couldn’t get the caramel right), and with a lot of manipulating and changing plans I was kinda able to fit them in the day’s and week’s macros and calorie limits. Barely.

So, I’ll say food today was “okay” in terms of sticking with the plan. The only saving grace was that, like last week, I had about 5% of my fat and carbs for the week not consumed, so today’s and yesterday’s food kinda did that in, but at least I had the margin! More on that in the week’s summary post.

Exercise. Well, I didn’t have to do any cardio today since my goal is ≥40 minutes of cardio ≥5 times per week. But, it actually cooled down this evening so I went on a short, 16-minute walk. The goal was just to get out and get the heart rate up a bit, I wasn’t trying to beat any record or anything, so it was a reasonably comfortable walk. An hour later, I did a 5-minute rowing machine warmup and then weights to get my third weight-lifting session in for the week.

As I said: I’m trying very hard to not let this weight plateau kill things in just the fifth week, so … trying to finish it strong.
