Daily Summary: 17 July, 2020

Before I forget, three things. First, sleeping with a pillow under my knee has helped it considerably. I’m just going to keep doing that. Second, DOMS are no longer an issue for me, now that I’m in a full week 2 of weights (I consider that first one a “week 0”). Third, my last in-person conference for the year, which was going to be in October, has been changed to a virtual meeting. Assuming I do go back to Ohio and Michigan for Thanksgiving, that is still 20 weeks at home with no travel, which again sets a record since at least 2009, if not 2007 or earlier (I don’t have complete travel records going back that far so it’s hard to know). That’s a nice chunk of time to establish good habits and make a huge amount of progress.

Speaking of progress, I’ve decided that I will re-assess my goals at the end of the next maintenance week, so August 23, 2020. I’ll talk more about this in tomorrow’s week-end-wrapup, but yeah, I’m still behind in weight and it’s frustrating to see that column as red. Anyway, on to today.

Food today was good, as it has been. And exercise today was good, doing both weights and the elliptical. So … that’s that? Oh, and I’m still really tired now. I’m not sure why. I’m going to try to increase the average sleep to 9 hrs and see if that does it. It might be the weights?
