Daily Summary: 22, 23, and 24 July, 2020

It’s been a long couple of days, for work, which is why I’m doing this three-day “daily” summary. Wednesday I spent all day writing my grant proposal and trying to shave a page off. I had zero time to exercise in order to get that done before Thursday. But, I managed to stay within my calories.

Thursday, because both the boyfriend and I had a lot of work to do, we pushed off making beef-stuffed cabbage rolls to Friday, so I had left-over tamales that I pulled from the freezer. He had orange chicken he got frozen from Costco, and I picked at it enough that I had to count it. Despite going through my grant proposal with a fine-toothed comb, I managed to get weights and the elliptical in.

Friday, we pushed the cabbage rolls off yet another day, so I basically repeated my menu from the day before. After some last-minute scrambling with the grant due to more clerical issues, but I got it in at 4pm and then did absolutely nothing for the rest of the day other than nap, eat, the elliptical, and watching a movie.

Meanwhile, I’ve not been happy with my weight this week. It’s lower than last week, but it’s basically stagnant. I think it’s stress of this almost $1M proposal, High levels of stress can result in weight retention, water retention, etc. in the short term. So I’m hoping with this grant in, and no big deadlines coming up, I can get back to actually losing poundage. That said, I do recall when I was around 217 lbs, it was hard for me to get down the extra 2 to hit that 215 lb mark and start my lower calories for 210±5 lbs. I’m wondering if I should shift things a bit and lower my calories early (weight-wise) and go from that. I’ll see what happens this coming week.
