And… I broke my streak.
I didn’t update for Thursday on Friday because I was at work most of Friday or running errands, and at home I was working on stocks. Since I might be buying a house in the next year, I’m starting to take a much more active examination of what stocks I’m in and what I might get in order to try to maximize gains. I don’t have much to “play with,” as it were, though I certainly realize I have more than many — a few $thousand I can mess around with. My thinking is that if I can make a few $hundred more in the next year doing this more actively than I otherwise would, then it’s worth it, since the more you can put down on a house, the less mortgage you have to take out and the less interest you pay to the bank. So, I’ve spent >12 of the last 20 hours learning a lot of stuff about the stock market. We’ll see if it actually pays off … literally.
That aside, Thursday I started to waver in hitting my goals. I was doing quite well, though a bit under on protein, and then in the evening I gorged myself on fruit. I just kept going back to the ‘fridge and getting 3 more cherries. Over and over again. And I never liked cherries before. So, I went up to 116% of my carbs for the day, but I was still at 98% of calories due to the 80% on fat and 94% on protein.
Friday, I was able to stick with things but still didn’t hit my protein target: 82% calories, 51% fat, 98% on carbs, and 89% on protein. Because I left so early for work, I didn’t get a weigh in.
Still looking okay for the week, though carbs will be close.
