Daily Summary: 20 March, 2022

Today was great, until the last hour when I ate too many peanut butter-filled pretzels and I put it on tomorrow’s accounting with a note that it was from today. Because, while I could fit it in today with calories and fats, I can’t for the carbs, but tomorrow I can. So, “creative accounting.” Would the IRS ding me? Probably. But the shareholders wouldn’t really care.

Anyway, as I said, otherwise today was great. I got enough sleep. Well, almost, since I laid down this evening. I walked this morning with the bf and then we raked and shoveled the steep gravel driveway to try to fill in tire tracks and p(l)ot holes; since it was pretty active raking and shoveling, likely moving several hundred pounds of gravel by the end, I counted it as “functional weight lifting” on my Apple Watch, but I counted it as “core exercises” in my tracking spreadsheets. I walked again while he took a nap this afternoon, then walked a third time when I got done with my weekly family Zoom® call. And, I was good on food and tracking things, again until the last hour or so of the day.

I also got my March Apple Watch activity award (on only the 20th of the month!) for walking ≥103.5 km this month, and I started a new Apple Watch Challenge with the friend I’ve been doing it with for 2–3 years now which, if you search that tag on this blog, you’ll see various comments on it. He and I are very well-matched, and we sync our goals so it’s fair, and we each push each other so we usually end up pretty close in the end, unless something happens (one week he had an allergy attack on Day 6, for example, and couldn’t function much, so I won that one).
