Yesterday (or, “today”) had some pros and some cons. Let’s get the cons out of the way:
- There is still an asterisk on calories indicating some slurps, licks, and nibbles that were not counted.
- I didn’t exercise (it was >90°!).
Now, let’s get to the good things! (he says as he’s eating lunch and thinks he just chomped down on a fragment of an egg shell …)
- My weight has been steadily decreasing this week. It’s certainly mostly water weight, but it’s still helpful to motivation.
- I went grocery shopping and passed by the doughnuts without even taking a second look! (Yes, I took a first look, but I didn’t get any.)
- I got work done! Not all I needed to, but still, a fair bit, all things considered.
More neutral, I had to add in a protein shake today because of the two lower-protein meals. And both of those meals were high in carbs.
But, I think something that bears noting is that I’m actually (sorta) keeping this up (trying) even after a long-ish trip. That’s been my downfall before. And, if the Ms. Marvel movie taught me anything, it’s the ability to pick ourselves up once we’ve fallen down that makes us human. Well, and captchas have taught me anything, it’s my ability to identify hills that also makes me human.
