Daily Update: 30 June, 2022

Writing this one again the day after, so “today” (yesterday), was a fail on food. It’a amazing how much those bites and nibbles add up to a massive carb overload, even if they’re “good” carbs like blackberries. It also, yet again (not that I needed more evidence) demonstrates I need to plan ahead and stick to that plan. I have enough margin this week that I can absorb it and not over-do things, but that’s so long as I actually stick to things.

Moving on to exercise, I got on the rowing machine for my desired 15 minutes this morning. It’s perhaps obvious, but my “main, go-to” sources for cardio – walking, elliptical, rowing machine, or now bicycling – all hit quite different muscles. So, something that I’m going to try to do, moving forward, is to hit all of them at least once a week. We shall see how successful I am with that plan.

On the COVID front, the boyfriend seems to be on the mend. He still feels like crap, but he asked me to make him some ground beef with cauliflower for dinner, and this (today) morning some french toast. That’s a big progression from not eating on Sunday and Monday. Meanwhile, Day 5 since the last close, unprotected encounter, and my at-home test showed negative. So, hopefully I am out of the woods with that!
