In my weigh-in this morning, I’m down 5 lbs from when I started. It took 17 days this time.
To put it in context with previous attempts, I’ve included the above graph. I’ve posted this once before, but the gist is that you’re looking at weight lost (vertical) versus number of days it took to lose it. The record goes back to 2006, and while I have done many more “attempts” than what is shown, I’ve included here those that lasted the longest or accomplished the most. I would normally not include the first try from earlier this year (orange line), but it’s reasonable for context at this time.
So, where does this fit in context? Eh, it’s on par with past work. 2006, 2010, and 2011 took about twice as long to lose this much weight. But, 2019, 2020, and the earlier attempt this year were all comparable. What will be telling is how long it takes to get to –10 lbs, and then –15: –10 shows a huge split between 2019 & 2020 versus 2006 & 2010 & 2011. But, –15 really separated the wheat from the chaff, as the saying goes, where it took me >150 days to do it in 2006, I didn’t get there in 2010 nor 2011 nor 2019, and I almost got there after about 65 days in 2020 but it actually took about 80 days.
… So … first 5 lbs down, 11 more of them to go!
