Second 5 lbs / First 10 lbs Down

This morning, I biked, and then I did three hours of work on the patio outside, including weeding, pruning, moving stuff, and pressure washing. Despite being 70–75°, it was so very hot, and I was sweating, and I then weighed myself at 217.1 lbs. That’s 10.8 lbs below when I started, so, my second 5 lbs has been dropped (though I fully expect to go back up tomorrow).

That said, if I were to keep it off, I would be on-track with the last two main attempts to lose weight in 2020 and 2019, as shown in the graph above. This graph shows my primary attempts at losing weight over the years, starting at 0 lbs lost at Day 0, and then progressing. So, you can see that I was a fair bit behind, but then dropped and caught up with where I was after this many days (42) the last two times. I’m way past where I was in my first half-hearted attempt this year, and I’m well ahead of 2006, 2010, and 2011 after this many days. Now that I got through my plateau.

For the record, it should be noted that while it took me 42 days to get down by 10 lbs, it was 17 days and then 25 days to lose the first and second 5 lbs, respectively. That plateau was obnoxious.

So … Huzzah! Time for a celebratory quart of ice cream! 🥳
