Ug. So, what happened Monday? I actually had a dream about my dead colleague, showing up at a conference and wondering why everyone thought she was dead. It being a dream, we took it in stride and I showed her around the conference which was in my parents’ house (it’s disturbing how many of my dream-conferences are at my parents’ house, specifically the basement … I swear, I don’t live in my parents’ basement!!). So, I didn’t wake up on the best side of the bed, to butcher a figure of speech. I also worked on a grant proposal, even though it’s not due until November, because I had the idea in my head and I wanted to get it down in a document before it left my head. That pushed everything until late evening, and I finally did core exercises. The bf had also decided that 92° was not hot enough to run the air conditioning, for some unknown reason, so everyone was sweating, and by the time I did the core exercises, it was after 11pm and I just couldn’t get up the energy to do the elliptical. Which is fine except it was my second day of two that are allowed, this week, when I didn’t do it.

Which brings us to today, Tuesday. I have zero idea why I was so tired today, despite getting an hour more sleep. But I ended up working and napping, being too tired in the afternoon to do weights. I forced myself downstairs by 8pm (well, 8:30pm), but that was when DOMS from yesterday’s core exercises kicked in for some leg, shoulder, and back muscles. I got through weights okay, but I was so sore afterwards that I again couldn’t get up the energy to do cardio, meaning I’ll lose points this week for not doing it for 3 days (so far). It’s now been 5 days since I have done any cardio. In good news, my weight is dropping again, already 2 lbs since Saturday’s weight and I’m back to >20 lbs lost from my peak in April before I started. So, at least I have that going for me?
I’m going to try to go for my Apple Watch Challenge this month. It’s to burn 29,200 calories in my Move ring, and I have another 8000 to go. I have to do 1318/day now to get there, which will certainly be a challenge, but I’m going to try. Of course, I have said other things about this week that I haven’t done yet, so we’ll see.
