Bound to have a bad day at some point …
“Today” (I’m writing this Saturday, but as though it’s Friday) was not good. I woke up and was a pound heavier, and I don’t know why, and this was after finally doing 45 minutes of exercise in the basement right up against midnight the night before. That itself is demoralizing.
It was a day I went into work, so I had Friday doughnuts, which I had planned for. I did my grocery shopping, and I counted unloading and putting away the heavy items as exercise (hence the bags in the infographic). I had zero motivation the rest of the day to exercise, and that was after a 2.5-hr nap because I got about 6 hrs of sleep the night before. Instead, I watched a TV show for hours and went to bed at 4am.
That was also compounded by me having updated to the beta version of watchOS 9 because I wanted the new fitness and sleep tracking, but it has been draining my Series 4 Watch battery like crazy. So, I did a reset on the battery, which means draining it all the way and then charging it all the way. I tried to drain it while I was napping, but then it went into power-save mode, where it was just showing the time, for more than an hour and I needed to use it so I considered that drained and went to charge it. It took over three hours to charge fully, which means either something is wrong with it, the charger, or the plug I have it in. Regardless, that was a six hour streak where I got no tracking in, so I finally “cheated” and did a “Mind & Body” “exercise” for 20 minutes to fill out my move ring. Yes, bad … bad. That’s also why my steps for the day are so low.
But then, I was up ’til 4am. And snacking. I was going to just chalk it up to cheating and let that go on the week-summary infographic, but I didn’t, I counted all the fruit and the chocolate bar and gummi bears on Saturday’s infographic, which technically is true because it was after midnight. But then, writing this Saturday at 1pm after I’ve been up for just an hour, my initial weigh-in was another pound up. So …
It’s been a demoralizing two days. I’m going to go 🚽, 🏃, and 🚣, and then weigh-in. And not eat much today. 😕
