Best laid plans from bad happenings …
Righteo, so, as I noted yesterday, I didn’t feel well and slightly over-ate though would be fine for the week on fat macros. But I didn’t exercise and cheated to fill my Watch rings by lowering the goals. I also drank more than usual in case I was dehydrated given the recent heatwave.
At weigh-in this morning, my weight was up a pound. I’m now above the average weight for last week. That was demoralizing. I’m also now concerned that I will not make my goal for the week, which is to average 221.3 lbs; right now, I’m 1.4 lbs above that on average, and 2.1 lbs above that from the weigh-in this morning.
Looking at the amount of left-overs the boyfriend still has, I realized that I could not cook tonight and still get up to 90% of my protein for the day, but be around 50% of my fat and carbs, coming in at around 1100 calories for the day. Seems like a win-win situation.
And then I put in the mint chocolate I ate last night just after midnight that I didn’t count on yesterday’s. And then I put in the grapes I’ve been unconsciously eating the last few days. And then I drove the boyfriend to his physical therapy, only to realize his appointment was tomorrow not today, and he wanted to pick up ice cream on the way back. Sigh. So, I asked for a “one-scoop in a dish” of whatever flavor. In my day 👴, “one scoop in a dish” would be one scoop, maybe a third of a cup, tops. This thing was easily a one-cup dish and it was scooped over the top. Sigh. I guesstimated it as one cup of the ice cream that I make, but I suspect that is under-estimating (300 cal? probably more like 500 cal).
But, I was still able to come in at about 1500 calories today, and beat my macros goal.
And, since it was still 80°F at sundown, I didn’t get outside (and I’m still not getting up early enough for it to be cool enough to do outdoor cardio). I decided weights were more important than cardio, so by the time I got downstairs (9pm) and done with the computer stuff down there for work (9:30pm), I figured I’d do 15 minutes on the rower to warm up and for cardio, my weights for ~40 minutes, and then hopefully +25 minutes on the elliptical. As you can tell from today’s infographic, I did not get to the elliptical afterwards. But, weights were more important today than cardio (and I went up again in weights), and sleep is more important than that so I can try to get up and do outdoor cardio before it gets too hot.
That all said, I got more work done today than I have in quite awhile. Annoying how I go in waves of 12 hr days and then 1 hr days. 😕
