What happens when you forget that you have two conferences this week, including with one day overlap, and you have to go into work to move data around and go grocery shopping, and screw up the time zones for both conferences on different days? This week, apparently. Writing this Wednesday night, I’m only just now starting tp ick up the pieces.

Sunday: Food was great, I got my 8.0 hrs of sleep, and I worked hard on the elliptical for sixty-eight minutes in order to get my 600 points and win the Apple Watch challenge by a whopping 2 points. Closest we’ve ever come. And, I honestly did not know if I would make it!

Monday: Food was okay Monday, too, sticking with this slightly (60 calories) reduced food plan due to my lower weight and slight plateau. Around 8:30p.m., I decided I was just going to go to bed early, but I ended up watching Supernatural in bed for 2 hours and going to sleep at 11:30. This was Day 1 of a 2-day conference, with check-ins for the other conference, and I got up at 9a.m. my time not realizing that the times were in Pacific Daylight so I got an extra hour of sleep. I figured I’d get up at 7a.m. and do weights.

Tuesday: When things fall apart. I went into work at 8:15am, I got home at 9:15pm after being at work and dealing with both conferences, cleaning out more expired seminar supplies, packing up my NAS and its extension to bring home for work purposes, and going grocery shopping. I filled my exercise and move rings just by running around work and the stores. Things fell apart because of food. I ate so many chips and chocolate, and I even got a doughnut when I was at the grocery store. I really have situational issues: If I’m in a situation / place where I already have bad habits, even if I haven’t been there in days, weeks, nor months, they kick in. So, I went ahead and just counted it, and that’s why the graphs go crä-crä in the infographic for today. I also got home too late to exercise after setting up stuff from work and remote’ing in to move around files and still wanted to try to get enough sleep to get up for my 11a.m. conference in the morning, so I went to bed at 3a.m.
That was after some major re-kajiggering of my food schedule for the week. Basically, to account for all the fat and carbs Tuesday yet still come in at my limits for the week, I need to cut out all snacking from the rest of the week, except Saturday there’s some wiggle room. I’ll be near 1100–1300 calories/day for 4 days, which will be unpleasant, but that’s what I get for royally screwing up with food today.

Wednesday: My mistake! Frantic call at 9:53a.m. that the meeting I was helping to run was starting in 7 minutes and W.T.F. was I?! I lied and said I was awake and just messed up the time zones (12p.m. Eastern Daylight time it was, not Central as I had thought). I got in with 3 minutes to spare, but that meant I was sitting at my computer practically all day and did not get enough sleep. I didn’t do my bodyfat percent measurements so I’ll have to do that tomorrow.
I’m writing this at 8:50p.m. now and am about to head to the basement to do weights. I just got up from a 2hr nap and the bf joined me an hour into it, but now he’s out for the night. Today’s cycle of weights is going to be the worst since it’s 12 reps for each of 4 sets, with the max weight for the week. Next two times will be same sets/reps, but I go down by 10% in weight each day. Next week, I start back at 8 reps for each of 4 sets, but I finally increase the base weight for the maximum of the week.
… okay, adding onto this about 3.5 hrs later, I did my weights, did a bit of work, and came back down to do the bare minimum cardio so I can check those boxes and not be delinquent this week. And, if I go to bed now, I can still get 8.0 hrs of sleep before I need to be up at 9:30a.m. and sign into Ring Central and put up the “Conference will be starting in …” slide and help run Day 2 of this second conference. Whew!
In other news, my knee is still doing okay since I’ve been sleeping with the pillow under it. And probably since I’ve been losing weight and it’s now carrying >20 lbs less. Which is nice.
